- Carol Cherchio Bailey from Ocala FL writes, "I just came back from attending the "Varsity Reunion" held at the Cortland Elks Club, that was planned by Patty Abdallah Patriarco, Bev Morris Ryan, Maria Natoli Dillingham and Sue Rose? (don't remember her married last name) and it was one great affair. There were a lot of people there from the area and from far away, and it was great to see everyone. It was a word of mouth and Class Mates invitation and as I understand over 200 people attended. And of course Rose and Norm Abdallah were both there. They looked great, by the way! Proceeds went to the Cancer Society (it was a $5 donation to cover the entertainment) and I can't say enough good about the whole affair. Hope they have it again next year and more will attend. There were Varsity customers from St. Mary's and Cortland High there and even a few from Homer High. If you weren't there, you missed a great time. Congratulations to all who planned the function, you did one fine job."

- Ron Volbrecht from Melbourne FL writes, "I lived in Central New York for 40 years. I worked at the Cortland Lafayette Radio Store in the 70's. I met the singing star Linda Scott while I was there. She has since moved to NYC and is a teacher at a Catholic School. Her brother Bill lived in Cortland at the time as well. Does anyone know how to get in touch with her? She was such a sweetheart and I would like to see what she's up to now. She has a son who would be in his 30's by now. He may still be in Cortland. Her real last name was Sampson. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could give me any information about her. On another subject, I had heard that some of the big wigs at Brockway were going to try and start the company up down here in Florida. Does anyone know how that went?

- Robert Johnson from Newnan GA writes, "Hello Cortland NY & class of '91, as many others have happened accross this page so did I and so I thought I'd stop by to say hello and catch you up. I am still in the Army, 15 years, whew where did the time go? Anyhow, I returned February 2, 2005 from my year in Iraq, although not the best year I've had, was good none-the-less and even ran into Eric Yaeger while I was there, what a strange place to run into your classmate, eh! I've been married now for going on 3 wonderful years and God has blessed us with a wonderful and vibrant 5-month old little boy, born on Nov 28 2005 at 8:38am, weighing 8lbs 8oz and 21.01 inches long. My family and I have received our new assignment and will be leaving from our home currently in Steilacoom (outside Tacoma) Washington and will be moving down to Newnan, GA where I'm being stationed with 3rd Army at Fort Mcpherson just outside Atlanta GA. We've bought our first house down in Newnan which is Southwest of Atlanta and about a 20-45 minute commute each way every day. I look forward to hoping catching our 20 year reunion, but if any of the Class of '91 is ever down around Atlanta shoot me an email and maybe we can meet and catch up. Take care and God bless!

- Neal Ericksen from Sunnyvale CA writes, "GREAT STORY! When I was growing up in Cortland, in the 60's and 70's, I always wondered what happened to everyone there. I thought as a lot of kids did, that I was destined to live my life there, and never do anything worth while. Well, in 1973, that all changed. I moved! Yep, to San Jose, California. Been on the move ever since. Anyway, after joining the US Marine Corps, and traveling all over, I was stationed onboard a ship, the USS Belleau Woods. Long hot days at sea, on a crowded ship, 2500 other Marines and Sailors. Kinda feeling a little depressed one day, and then a thought came to me. How lucky I was. How many people from Cortland, get to do this? Travel half way around the world? Visit all these strange and wonderful lands, meet all the people I did, hell, I even lived in Hawaii for a few years. Then one day, after a month or so at sea, I came across a sailor giving me a strange look. When we finally spoke to each other, I found out it was one of my best friends from elementary school (Randall). So Virginia, people from Cortland do get to leave now and then........."

- Patty (Randall) Davis from Columbus OH writes,"Hello Cortland! Just wanted to say hi to all my friends and family still there. I had total knee replacement in August and even tho' it's been a slow recovery, I'm glad I did it. It's been a year since our Dad passed away and we haven't been back to Cortland since. Hopefully, we'll be able to make it "home" sometime next year. My oldest will be graduating in June!!! Where has the time gone?? Take care and God bless!"
